being that it is a t-top car, look there first. they are extremely notorius for them leaking. have someone systematicly run a hose over the top while youre sitting the car, and when it gets to a spot that it starts to drip in, thats where you can start. you can try using silicone caulk on the edges under the t-tops to try and reseal it, but that is a 50/50 chance. the only sure fire wire to fix it is new weather stripping

That is a really nice looking car.Be nice to it and keep it out of the ditches.Check where the clutch pedal rod goes through the firewall to see if there is a seal there.my 82 doesnt have any thing there and water would come in if I ever got caught in rain.I will be addressing that soon.

As MicroKid said, 3rd Gen. almost always have t top leak problems. Before you do any type of silicone cocking products or even replace the weatherstripping first try to adjust the t top recievers. The t tops are held down by two pins, if you remove the t tops and the panels on the interior you will be able to adjust the tops.

you can run synthetic if you like. doesnt matter what the engine was designed for. synthetic will help it no matter what. so go for it. but any name brand oil will work as long as it is changed every 3 or 5 thousand miles religiously.
