Hey thanks so much. Im about to get a new air cleaner. Will it help with getting anymore power or is it more for looks. My uncle said if i get a 14 in. it should gain a little power. But anyways thanks again.

I did it for both looks and performance. It feels a little more responsive, not to mention the better sound from under the hood. And looking at the restrictive air flow path of the stock cleaner, it can only help.

Thats why when I have a stock cleaner I grind the spot welds and pull that ring out of the cleaner. While the cleaner is off put the lid on and squeeze it down like when its bolted on and there is not much space in there with that ring in place.

No, everything comes right off, look at the pictures. If you are still using the stock air cleaner assembly, then you would need to grind off the tack welds to remove the riser on the base. But that's not an issue since you're going with an aftermarket cleaner. And 14" is perfect, that's the size of mine too.

thanks so much. i was reading and it said it might run hot, have you had a problem with it? mine has a fan switch where i flip it on manual. cause the connector bolt has some kinda tape on it from the previous owner and he put some adheisve on the bold before he screwed it in. so he [ut a switch to control the fan. so if i just keep it on it shouldnt be a problem right?
