305 to 350 swap?
I'm not being disrespectful but it sounds like Ebony simply wants the keys tossed back at him when everything is done and it needs to be complete with no little details left undone.
I would defer to the professional who has actually seen the vehicle and engines vs trying to second guess them from a keyboard.

After that, we're gonna bring the engine back home, install the heads and intake, and then take it over to a different shop (the one that I took it to originally) to perform the actual swap.
I'd initially bought an original L98 so it would more or less just drop in, but since I had to replace the block I'm not sure if that will still be the case. Still, the work I am paying for will be removal and installation only, for which I was quoted around $2000. That's still a bit higher than I was expecting, but without the ability to do it myself, there's not much I can do except pay for it.
my best advice to you is dont install the plenum and runner until the engine is in the car. with how high they are, it is difficul to fit the engine under the cowl, and the runners are very easily dented or broken.
now how would you know about that; hmmmmmmmm ?
Alright, after two weeks' delay while my helper got married, we're back on track. The car is towed to the shop that rebuilt my engine for me, I'm quoted $1800 to $2000 to do the swap for me. We're picking up the engine again tomorrow, and it'll get done over the next week. We're looking at next Friday to get it to the shop to get installed, which hopefully won't take too long.
With any luck it should be on the road again some time in August. Finally~

were you in the wedding party?
Alright after some more long delays, we're getting into the final bit here.
I went by the shop on Monday; the 350 engine had been delivered there Friday afternoon. They had the 305 out and just wanted to go over a couple things with me.
I needed a new oil cooler 'cause the one I had was full of metal bits. I need a new air pump as well. They're gonna replace the heater core since I needed that done years ago.
And I think there was some other minor stuff... I forget now.
Anyways I was really wishing I'd brought my camera as it was pretty cool to see my empty engine bay, as well as my shiny new engine sitting next to my rusty old one.
I'm hoping everything will be done within a couple weeks now, and then it's just a matter of paying for it, lol.
