I'm sorry, but I've got all these ideas running through my head for this project car, and I'm just wondering if it'd be possible to install A/C on a Camaro that didn't aleady have it?

I mean it even says Air Conditioning on the fan control unit...

 

It's possible, mine has aftermarket A/C, but the previous owner installed it so I couldn't tell you any more than that, sorry.

 

Do you know which aftermarket unit it was?

 

somebody could have just taken out your A/C compressor does your car still have all the stuff for the A/C on the right side of the engins compartment.

 

Some one could also have just replaced the switch unit with the wrong one. But if you don't have the stuff you can get it all from a wrecker and install it real easy. The only thing I would get new would deffinatly be the compressor and accumulator. I installed a/c on my mom's first S10 before with wrecker stuff. I have also installed a couple of aftermarket kits and OE is much nicer.

It's kinda messed up how fat cops get the ac, but I couldn't find any information on Camaro models with the ac already on it...

But I'll check tomorrow, anyone know exactly where I should look (left/right or anything?)...

 

Have problems with the police huh. You do not have to be the police to get a/c. If you read that again its the only way to get a/c with the brake package. The reason being that is the 1LE was thier racing type pacage and you do not use a/c in racing. My brothers 90 RS V6 has a/c and my 91 RS V8 has a/c.
Open the hood and look at the pasenger side of the firewall. Is there a big black box with a fan motor in it and two pipes coming out of it? Is there a large cooler in front of the radiator?
