Default 92 RS Won't Start

Was driving to work and my RS stalled out on me. Can't get it to start back up.
Engine is turning over and it's getting fuel. Wasn't getting spark, but then i tightened up the ignition coil and replaced the distributor cap and rotor button. Now i have spark (both at the plugs and coming from the ignition coil to the distributor) and when the engine is turning over it gives a small sputter or pop as if its going to start but it still won't start. Any ideas? Is there a way to check if your timing chain is bad?

Its a 92 RS 3.1L v6
Distributor has a fair amount of rust on it, but wasn't sure if i should start there or if it has something to do with the timing chain.
Plugs and wires are 4 months old, distributor cap and rotor button are new, just trying to give as much info as i can.
Thanks for your help.
Dave
