90 RS 3.1 intermittent stahling
 

My son has just about redone his 90rs but now we have this stahling problem, doesn't seem to matter if its hot or cold. While driving and coming to a stop he puts brakes on and idle appears to go up and then car will stahl, checked vac lines even replaced egr tube gasket that appeared to be leaking or sucking air. plugs wires cap alot of new parts, checked master cylinder vaccum line, don't know at this point if its electrical or vaccum. It won't stahl while sitting in park in driveway runs find, even in gear sounds strong and runs great it just stahls slowing or coming to stop???Any help I thank you in advance for, this will be a site we now save on our favorites, keep up good work.

Was the vehicle stalling prior to being redone? Is the check engine light on? What was recentlydone if any to the fuel/ignition system?
I'd check the throttle position sensor if it's within specs and clean the idle air control. Is the problem only upon deceleration?

Yes it only stalls on decelaration, the 02 sensor has been replaced and now the mechanic is saying one fuel injector looks like its dumping more fuel than the others so now its running rich? Mechanic now says pcm or an injector is bad? They are still trying to get it running right, they said stalling problem doesn't seem to be happening now but its still running rich.

Sewerrat; Thank you for answering post, Just something new to add, today mechanic said he found three bad injectors, age, and acohol in gas wasn't helping them....said this was causing ecm or pcm to act wacky trying to compensate for three bad injectors, at this point I'm not sure what to believe, but he'spretty surethis will take care of problem, this is getting expensive fast..
