Need some help with my brakes 1992

okay so a while back i replaced my rear shoes, and a couple weeks later i noticed that they were extremely grabby and i would hardly tap the pedal and the back would lock up. also sometimes the pedal would drop. i immedieately suspected i had a leak somewhere... so i remember back while i was doing this i think i damaged the wheel cylinder... so i took it in and sure enough i did in fact damage it. so it costed almost $300 to fix this and to top it all off, i had installed them BACKWARDS!!!! dammit im retarded. so the first day back on the road is fine... the second day fine. the third day is when i first notice that they were beginning to grab. today it takes a while in the pedal's range of motion to actually get to the braking part and when it does get there i locked them up. what the hell is happening? suggestions? what should I check out? or should i just take it back?
thanks for reading about my misfortune.

I am assuming that you took it to a shop for the wheel cylinder. It shouldnt have cost you 300 but I would take it back if your still having problems. Good luck

Did you reverse it to a considerable speed then hit the brakes to set the self adjuster?

Set the adjustment as Norm described, do it several times, if still bad go back to the shop, they charged you enough that the work should have a warranty. Don't try fixing it yourself, as then you will get blamed for causing the trouble and be stuck with the repair bill.
