My new (to me) 91 Vert build
Finally after a 5 year chase I have my 91 convertible, I was just hours from getting this car 5 years ago, my nephew beat me out, (rich brat LOL). now after he has beat the front end out, and blown the 3.1, it is mine. it is still 100% there. the plan is to put an LT1 in it, with a vortec distributor. and a '411 ECU, roll-bar and a light restoration.

OK lets see if I can prime the thread? I have purchased a 95 LT1 with a claimed 7k on the clock, and it looks it, inside and out. the only problem with it is, it has sat so long that the head gaskets are rotted out. As such I will be pulling it down to reseal and inspect it. While inside I want to change the cam. I do not want to loose the vacuum accessories, but a little more foot candy would be nice. any suggestions? Probably put a stall in it as well??? I will be building the trans to fit the setup. Proly use a 4L60E case and 4L65E (2000 or newer) internals, "getting a crash busted 4L65E given to me". On the car, I am looking at a possibility of fabricating my own 2 or 3 inch chrome molly frame connectors to replace the ASC frame connectors that are 3 piece fabricated channel units. kind of minimum for a 3.1 if you ask me.

Thank you Ed
I just got off of the phone with Lloyd Elliot, and have somewhat decided on a plan of action. I am thinking maybe 12 to 14 to 1 on the compression, 1LE heads, and Lloyds 218/224 .570/.565 111 LSA. - 1500-6000 RPM cam. run E85 all the time, that is the reason for the high compression.
more than likely, a mild stall this should give me a TON of foot candy

update
I talked to the dyno dudes, last week they suggested that I use a 4L80E (one of which I do have) for this build. I am getting things pulled into one place and prepped for the start of her rebirth.
I do however have a few questions, I am going to add sub-frame connectors to the ol girl. the question is; how do they connect to the car? I have seen them in catalogs, and a set of Spohn SFC"s, but never on the car. Pictures maybe? and I have an idea of using 3" chrome-molly tubing bent with 45 degree bends at each end, that will connect to the 2 sub frames with flat iron??? build this to fit just inside the rocker panels, just inside the convertible 16 gauge SFC's, of completely replace the Vert SFC's??? thoughts??? ideas???

LOL I guess I gotta make a decision here; go nuts with the motor, and forget doing anything else: go mild on the motor and do a partial restore on the ol girl: or take 5 hundred million years to do it all?????
