I picked up this little gem for $900 off of craigslist. It didn't run and needed a bunch of work, but the mint dash pad sold me on the car!! LOL It had been sitting for about 5 years and hadn't run in 10 months. over all it looked good some mild rust and it was a tuned port motor. I had an 89 Iroc with 45,000 miles I had to sell due to hard times.... on the plus side I got the price I wanted for it. I regret selling that car to this day. So I found this one and it just kinda called out to me as if it was saying please fix me and give me new life. me and the owner agreed on 900 and I left him a deposit and came back a few days later with a truck and trailer and took my car home. I started ripping into by the next day.

She didn't run when I bought her. Owner said it hadn't run in about 10 months. He also mentioned some of his buddies tried working on it... gotta love when people have very little knowledge of stuff like this. LOL checked fuel pressure found that was good. found no spark. Popped the dizzy cap and found the electrode was so far worn down it had melted the cap. The electrode was just about gone! found plug wires no where near the correct firing order and the dizzy was way outta time. So new cap and rotor, plugs and re timed the dizzy and she fired to life on half a crank!!! boy did she run like ****!!! LOL found the Y pipe was "rigged" to the rest of the exhaust LOL!!! At least it runs I can het everything set with the engine later.
After I got her running again it was time to ditch the "porno" red interior. It was beat to hell stunk and just nasty. Got everything gutted and found some typical f body rot on the driver floor pan. I cut all the nasty **** out and fabbed up a new pan and patched in some of the other bad spots. Also before any of this I had to rip out the leaking rusted through fuel lines!! Didn't feel like having a nice fire while welding!!!

Today she got new door sweeps installed. What a pain the rear end removing the windows... They look fantastic!!!! Tomorrow if I have time I'd like to get the rear brakes put back together and run the new fuel lines. Well that's actually the weekend goal. funds permitting!!!

Now that the heat wave out here finally broke I got some stuff down to the car over the weekend. Finished up the rear brakes. The previous owners handywork was how can I put it nicely???? butcherd!! LOL full steel line running to the driver caliper and the main line was totally rotted out. I replaced the steel line with a hose and bent a new piece of steel line. The main line that was rotted was also a repair attempt as well. 3 reducers to make the line work with the rubber hose to the distribution block. yeah all that went and I fabbed up the new line from the front to the back. all good. Got underneath and was able to sand out all the surface rust and get her all undercoated too. Looks fantastic!! I shouldn't have to worry about issues with the floors anymore. After that I started refinishing my original Iroc wheels that I had from my very first Iroc. Lots of elbow grease and paitence. Only started on one wheel. It's not entirely finished yet but the results so far are awesome!!!

Interior is next to go back in all that's holding up is trying to find a nice grey carpet.
