Question Is it worth what their selling it as?

1984 Chevy Camaro z28, 350 v8 auto, racing seat, t-tops, excellent project car for the muscle car enthusiast. $2200. Im interested in buying another camaro, I dont know if this one is worth the price?

What, were they playing bumper cars with the front end? It's all bashed up, and now the bumper doesn't fit right against the hood. I would get under the hood and under the front end to see if any of the structure got bent up. Unless that car is otherwise clean as a whistle up and down, I'd say it's worth a lot less.

I paid $2000 for this, needed a little TLC and tires but I drove it home.
Good strong engine and trans, great body and interior.
It's a buyers market out there right now,you could do a lot better with some looking around IMHO.

Definately not worth $2200. To me anyway. You can get a 350 tuned port iroc in Very good condition or that much around here in wv. I missed out on one that was $2500 about 2 years ago and it looked almost new.

Did the seeler intend for it to look like 91-2 RS?
84 has a different nose cone & no ground FX w/15" standard rims.
I Have one, also have 1 91 RS, 1 92 Z & 1 87 IROC.

I think I did OK,I'm in it about $4300 after new tires, new battery, new heater core & radiator, used ebay fog lights & passenger window switch, new plugs & wires and a new front seal on the trans.
She drives sweet now and looks great, everything works including cold AC and cruise control.

Probably not much, she's hurt pretty bad, that's a bummer man.
Need more info too, what model, engine, trans etc?

You'd probably do better parting it out but that is a bit of a PITA and takes some time.

If I were you I'd be looking for another car in need of a motor/trans that has a straight body but doesn't run that you can get cheap and use yours as a donor car for the drivetrain.

Holy crap, prices vary by market. I bought my 82 from a junkyard. The engine was a whooped 305. The tranny had a massive leak and the engine had 3 giant puddles below it. Rims were junk aftermarket, the windows didnt work and she was totally missing the pass door lock (had been ripped out)

HOWEVER.........I live in upstate NY. Up here, rust will destroy a car in 7-10 years. Ive seen cars with 75K on them, engines still running but all body, frame, suspension parts were rusted solid. Once a car gets THAT bad, there is no saving it. They go to junk yards, the turn signals, seats and a few internal parts are scavenged and they are scrapped. I paid 1300 bucks for my hooptie and I had to go over and replace every mechanical part on the car. There are no 3rd gens in the boneyards up here so it was a painstaking process. Up here, if its more than 20 years old and still has a solid frame, solid gas and brake lines and it runs, its worth at least 1500.

2200 for what your looking at is a little steep. That nose is THRASHED. If the engine really IS a 350 and it runs STRONG.....offer him 1800, settle on 2k.
