Wired About A Tranny
 

I Recently Bought A 84 Model Camaro With Intentions Of Putting The 305 In My 88 RS. I Bored The Block .060 Over, GM 305HO Pistons, Rebuilt The Heads, Installed A Speed Pro Cam With A 300 Duration And A 480 Lift , Weiand Stealth Intake , MSD Distributor, Holley 600, Headers, And A Few Other Goodies. I'm Pretty Fair A Using A Wrench But Don't Know Jack About Transmissions. While Doing The Extraction A Friend Cut The Tranny Wires And I Didn't Even Realize That It Had Wires Til I Was Bolting It To The Motor. I Have Know Idea What These Wires Do Or If The Tranny Will Shift Without Them Being Hooked Up. Would Appreciate The Help. Thanks. SickSickSick

i think that the wires he cut are probaly for the torque converter lock up, it will still shift normally but it wont lock up when crusing down the high way, you gas mileage wont be as good either.

Thanks For The Post Mike. Gas Mileage Isn't An Issue At The Present. The Motor Is Just Sitting On The Ground. Need To Break It In So I Guess I'm Gonna Try And Use The Tranny. Would Like To Find A Five Speed For It Later. Anyways ... Thanks Again
