Considering the countless different setups available stock, and later hacked in, we need more info on what your setup is. Simple carb with HEI distributor?

94z28chevy 02-28-2010 11:27 AM

well i think i got it so i put my motor in but now i got some more ?s the motor and wiring are both out of a 91 trans am.
1. r there 1 or 2 plugs that go to the coil cuz i could only find one
2. the wire for the start how do they run (pics would be great)
3. then on the back of the dist theres two plugs and i could only find one
4. there are 3 plugs right above the plug for the wiring harness by the brake master what are they for

microkid 02-28-2010 07:27 PM

do you mean directly into the coil itself? there should be two wire i do believe, but im not very sure. there are two plugs that go into the distributor, one is to energize it, the other is for the gauge. for the starter, the hot wire should come from the battery to the top pole on the solenoid, and the wire into the starter should come from the lower pole. there should be one wire that goes to the small pole on the solenoid, and that should be it. as far as those three plugs, im not very sure at all what they would be for.
