Ok I am restoring my 87 maro. Where do you recommend starting I took the old engine out cause it was a 6 and bought a v8 block. I am wondering if I should start just under the hood with taking everything out and replacing like the pitman and idler arms and tie rods as they are much easier to get at with the engine out. Also should I go ahead and take everything out and clean and paint the under the hood area as well? If anyone has a good starting place or thinks I should do something please let me know anything is welcome.

 

sounds like ur on right track if your going to want to paint engine bay now eould be the time as well as all front suspension then the whole front end is takin care of
