if you do go with the thrusts, dont go too big, 16"max. Other wise the sidewall gets so thin, you look like a ricer. These third gens look better with a little sidewall. My good friend has a 92 firebird with 17" torque thrusts. Wheels look great, on another car. They are simply to big. Not enough tire.

Go with the torque thrust. Those are the ones that I want to get for my car. But like 350rs said don't go to big. You'll loose the side wall and it won't look as good. As for chrome, I worked at a dealership for a couple of years, unless your polishing and cleaning them all the time, they will pit and you'll loose air through the bead seal due to the pittng. Polished aluminum looks just as good and doesn't need the extensive cleaning of chrome (obviously you'll need to clean them to look nice.)

oh you don't have to worry about me cleaning them? i wax my dads chrome wheels, wipe them down, between washes, and wash them too. (he does it too). plus they will come off during the late fall until about april. once they're off i will polish and wax them. also i will steel wool the insides. (makes them look chrome too).

this is all what my dad does with his chrome wheels, and i plan to do the same.

and imo 17's wouldn't have too little sidewall. in fact the top of the tires to the bottom is the same as the ones i have now. so i'd only be losing 1/2 inch of sidewall. (1/2 on top plus 1/2 on bottom equals 1 inch of wheel)

well if thats what you want to do, it is your car after all. my friend with the 17s was gona get 18's. but discovered there were going to be clearance problems. Right now hes got the 17x8. With a 245 45 tire on it i believe. He CANNOT fully turn his car and it flings mud and whatnot up really bad on the sides.
