Default Are v8 and v6 rear ends same?

I'm wondering if my 88 v6 camaro has the same rear end as a v8? If not, can you tell me if my v6 rear end will hold up to a mild 305 tpi swap? My chart just showed only the gear ratio. Thanks for any replies

I have never seen a difference.

Thanks for the reply madmike. I did a quick look at a 91 Rs with a 305 and it too looked the same but I wasn't sure about the internals. My axle code came out to 3.42, you think this would be good for a mild 305 with an 700r?

Aloha

Mike

They are both 10-bolt rears and the only differences are the Gear ratios or there open or limited slip.
