i have an 84 camaro and am looking to get a rear end like a nine inch ford or maybe a 12 bolt chevy. i am looking to make it disc brakes with like 4 10 gears with a posi unit. any one know of places that build rear ends or maybe places to find them? thanks for the help

 

summit has them made for our cars. a bit pricey though.

 

Unless you have between $1500/2500 dollars you don't know what to do with, little searching will give all the results for 9" ford or 12 bolt.

 

yea i figured the price would be around there but i figure to make a good car ya start with the back and work your ways forward. thanks, ill def look into summit and i guess check around on ebay. just wasn't sure if there were like shops that took used rear ends and redid the whole thing for this sort of application.

 

If you live in BC canada, there is a shop here that will drop in a brand new 3.73 posi with disks for 900 bucks!

Man, its soo weird finding people that live like right next to by chance on the internet. I found 2 people on Thirdgen.org that live like 10min away from me because I recognized their cars from local listings, one of which I test drove. But, yeah i go to van alot so next time im near burnaby ill give them a call. Is the rear out of a fourth gen or what? Thats still cheaper than what junk yards sell just the part for around here.

 

So it is new, man thats cheap.
