Default Underhood mess

Ok first off. I have a 91 RS with a carbed 350 in it. Someone already removed the a/c lines but still have the mess of wires from the a/c and tbi and smog crap. What all can go too clean up under the hood. It has headers too lol.
Edlebrock performer intake and 650 holley.
It still has the ac pump and smog pump, Think they swapped everything ovr when the engine went in.

Sorry pics so dark just took them. Get better ones in the day. The headers are smog headers and the smog tubes were left open. I will fix this. For now gonna cut them and weld but later new headers.

Well, common sense dictates here....

If you are SURE its an unused circuit..and you are NEVER going to reconnect it....trace it to its source and pull it. I had a bunch of excess wires from my AC and blower motor (both omitted) and they looked horrible. I pulled both all the way back to the control unit in the dash....It took me a while but it cleaned t up immensely. I know its a little intimidating.....but trace it back and get rid of it. If its not hooked up, chances are you can run without it.

If you really want to clean it up....rip that entire AC unit from the firewall......

Ive since pulled the entire blower motor and covered up the hole with some plate steel and sprayed it white. Im really a minimalist under the hood...

Ok soo gonna be some work and time. Guess I'll be pulling all the wire wrap stuff off. Yours looks great. All I need may be defrost so removing the ac box will be fine just worried it will leave a huge hole. If I can make it look close too yours i'll be fine. Be pulling engine soon s maybe after marking all the plugs and wires I need I might do it all then.
I wanna reroute my tranny lines too, they come up over the header on passenger side right over the header.

After getting rid of the wires that are not in use, you need to wire tie your plug wires. Are you sure it is a 350? RS did not come from the factory with one. The biggest engine was a 305 tbi. You also have a z28 grill. The RS had a louvered grill.

Not 100% on the engine but PO said it was. They didn't come with a 350t tranny either factory and I know there is one in there for sure, dunno bout a shift kit or not ect, and the rear acts like a posi. I haven't pulled the cover yet or jacked up the rear too check but it does spin both rear tires lol.
I know this isn't the factory engine as it's been completely painted orange, didn't come factory and has the large balancer. I know I need to run the numbers but that will happen after I pull it, has a rod knocking and there for sure will be a 350 in it after if not a 383, 400, or possible 406 stroker. I got plans but wanna clean up under the hood. the engine is up in the air right now and probly a 350 would be my best bet.
The nose? It looks stock too me and on the side molding is says RS?

OOOk, I gave the grill a closer look and it's not a Z grill. The louvers appear different, maybe larger, but the pic may be deceiving. It looks nice. Here is a pic of my 92 RS grill. P1019112.jpg

Ok, I think mine is missing some plastic louvers where those two holes are but uncertain and paint is chipped on the bottum lip, easy fix.
