Default Trouble with my 89 Iroc

What could be wrong the would be holding me up had a lot of work done over 4500 at a shop it just seems like all the power is not there. Any thoughts?

had full tune up dis. cap, spark plugs + wires, fuel pressure regulator, feul pump, and had 3 injectors up in had found a rebuild 350 thats a 88 from a diff iroc and its a TPI injection. Now i have a problem with the trans where it slips a little but i was told its the trans mounts are bad. and the part of the air system after the maf sensor is rig up a little could that be my trouble.

if the airway to the engine is constricted in some way, you said it was rigged up a little. if its significantly closed up then that can slow you down a lot, and kill you gas mileage. if its not anything significant, then looks like you jsut need to buy some stuff for it. I mean, has the car always been what you call slow? or is this a new thing? see how your throttle response is, watch your rpms, let it idle, and quickly floor it, and let off as fast as you can. if it seems pretty responsive and climbs to atleast 2000 rpm's, then you should be alright. if it bogs down before it comes to life, or climbs very slowly, then you may have an issue. if it is responsive, then looks like that 4500 dollars went into getting the motor to run better, more then make it faster. if thats the case, go buy some **** for it.

the big thing to improving your motor is more air in/more air out. you can get high performance injectors, and a little bigger throttle body. also, get some headers and an exhaust job. that alone you will notice an enjoyable difference. after that look into a cam, with roller rockers and pushrods. by the way if or when you buy a cam, get the same brand rockers and pushrods.
