Default Tire and Rim Selection (Please Help)

Hey, I'm 17 and building an '86 IROC-Z. I'm going to be putting a 502ci chevy crate in it, it will be making almost 600hp and most likely over that with tourque what type and size of tires would i need to be able to drive it on the strip and still be street legal. Your help would be greatly appreciated. I have looked at alot of them and read reviews but most of the people writing the reviews have like half the HP and torque or less. I want to get the best strip time possible but i also don't want to be replacing them all the time

With that engine, the tires is not the only thing you will need to worry about. The whole drive train will need beefing up, especially the rear end. A narrowed rear, either 12 bolt or 9", will hold togheter and give you more space for larger tires. You should speak to the people that build custom rear ends an see what they suggest.
