im betting the amount of time that the engine was run too cold caused a lot of sludge build up from the oil not getting to temp. do you have any idea how long it was run that way? could also be simply that the metal expanded more and just locked it into place. if you are getting a new engine, see if you can free up the old one. take the plugs out and soak it in penetrating oil

its been like that for more than a year for sure. probably 2 or three years. but ive only had it for one so not too sure. i am going to pop the plugs out sunday and try to get it to budge. once i pull it i am going to pull it apart and see what kind of damage there is. see if there is anything worth selling off of it to soften the blow. like maybe sell the heads for 50 bucks, intake for 20, carb for 25ish that type of thing

hmm, good luck selling those parts. the heads would need rebuilt, and the rest of the stuff you might salvage might be more worthwhile to toss in the back of the shed. scrap iron is about $8 for 100 pounds, so you could get about $20 for the old engine

Why would you deal with all that crap to go to a crappy fuel injection system? Stick with your Qjet.

because i have had way too many issues with my q-jet, the engine is cheap, fuel injection does better up here, its really not a crappy of a fuel injection, and i want fuel injection anyways.

now why do you say it is a crappy fuel injection system?

i dont see why the tbi is crappy. its reliable, it works, and isnt as tempermental in the cold as a carb is. now yes, it doesnt respond well to modifications and isnt very supportive of more than 250 hp when the tbi unit is in stock form. but otherwise, its decent for its purpose

How much would you be looking to get for the intake and q-jet? I might be in need of such things...
