You can replace the seals with the heads in place, but you will need an air compressor to pressurize the cylinder and keep the valves from falling in. Or.. you can do it the red neck way by stuffing clothes line into the cylinder through the spark plug hole until the combustion chamber is full.

have you ever tried squeezing into engine bays of some boats?
Anyway, from an old timer, yes, removing cylinder heads can be frightening if you've never done it before. Either pay someone or have someone with you who has done and they should be there just for gudance while you do it. Once you've done it, you'll wonder why you were so nervous about it.
To the person who said the 3rd gens are tough, LMFAO, try a 4th gen.

Try a 4th gen?...um, no thanks. Thats why I dont work on new cars. When it takes special tools and a factory manual to remove parts, I just dont wanna play....
