I'm looking 2 use synthetic oil in my new motor. Not sure witch one two use. I'm looking at Amsoil, Royal Purple or Motul. I could use your input on this please.

By "new" do you mean freshly built? If so, you want to use regular dino oil, not synthetic for the break-in period.
Then switch to synthetic after it's broken in. Everybody has their favorites, I like Mobil 1. I never heard of Motul?

For break in use Shell Rotella. It has a high zinc content for diesels, which happens to be crucial in flat tappet engines.

And all synthetic isn't the same. Most synthetic oils are a highly refined group III petroleum based stock. The only synthetic on the market that is truly synthetically engineered from group IV synthetic based stock is Amsoil. You pay a little more, but it's the best you can buy.

Would you have a problem running Mobil 1, Royal Purple, or Castrol? Absolutely not. They're all good oils, and like Camaro 69 said everyone has their favorites. As long as you use a high quality filter (NO FRAMS!, I prefer Wix, Napa Gold, and Purolator Pure One filters, Amsoil filters if I'm running Amsoil), you won't have any problems.

If you run something like Amsoil, you may as well get your moneys worth and run 15,000 mile oil changes. Change the filter half way between and top it off and you're golden.

I don't know what I would use! Or where I would get it!

Motul is out of the bike world. They make good streetbike oils as well as dirtbike stuff (both 2T and 4T). It is pricey as well I think about $9/qt of 4T oil and like 15/qt of 2stroke oil. I honestly didn't like any of the synthetics when I raced they seemed to cause more clutch wear. On a small bore 4 stroke motor (250) I changed the oil just about every 2 hours of run time. So it gets pricey no matter what oil you use, let a lone synthetic. The only time I didn't mind is when I was lucky enough to get an oil sponsorship.
