I have a 1984 Camaro and i have a no airbag steering column and I was wondering what steering column i would have to get for my car because the steering column I have on there to begin with the key wont turn over and I been trying to figure out which one to get and I been told I cant get one with airbags

 

so the key will not work and you want to replace the column..?

just so im understanding the question.

Third gen parts are basically interchangeable from 1982-1992, but with options and changes in technologies, wiring, etc you should try to find another column from 1984 from a car with the same options as yours (cruise control, etc) otherwise you may have to cut, splice, test wiring to get the new column to work properly.

if its really just the key not turning you can save yourself a huge headache and just replace the lock cylinder.

 

But then i can take it out of park and everything the key just wont turn
