Starting Problems

My starting problem was with the distributor
Had same symptoms as you, it would start, run for a couple of miles, die, then wouldn't restart. Got to the point just putting in reverse to get out of the garage would cause it to die. Replaced the distributor and set timing, runs great now.

Bump... Sorry I had to go back to college to finish up the year before I could keep working on my car.
The fuel pump runs. I can hear it. Still not starting. There isn't fuel being sprayed from the injectors at all. So far I've replaced MAP sensor, IAC valve, both injectors, and fuel filter. The timing of the car is fine and the distributor was replaced two years ago. It probably has 8,000 miles on it.

is it cranking? If not forget about the fuel system it would be something else. Check fuses, i blew a GAUGE fuse last week and the car wouldnt start unless i srayed starter fluid in the tbi. When i did that the car would start but wouldnt idle I had to stay on it to keep it alive.

Yes it runs if I dump gas in the TB. I'm starting to think it's something electrical. Today I found a ton of corroded wires coming off the battery that weren't always allowing electricity to flow through so I tore them out and replaced them. Car still doesn't start. I'm tracing all the wires and everything else seems fine so I'm thinking it's a faulty ECM. I'll be hopefully picking one up today and replacing it

I had a similar problem with my 91 that had been sitting for a couple of years. I could hear the fuel pump run, but fuel barely dribbled out of the line before the FI unit. Turned out to be a deteriorated and split rubber hose (short fat rubber connector) that connects the pump to the sending unit. The pump would run, but gas was just running right back into the tank. I obviously had to drop the tank and pull the pump to fix the stupid thing. And I also replaced the pump too since it was all apart.

Your problem sounds like a fuel pump. Camaros are notorious for 3 bad things. Crappy oil pressure, starters and fuel pumps going out. Always remember. If you ever change out or replace a carb or injectors or fuel pumps, anything to do with fuel. I cannot stress enough.......CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER EVERY TIME. Please trust me on this.

Changed the ECM and it is still having troubles. One of the injectors isn't always receiving an electrical current while the other one is fine. It's an electrical problem. There must be a bad wire somewhere along the line that's not allowing current to flow properly. Does anyone know anything about the wiring of a Camaro?
P.S. Please read other posts before you so we don't end up with five people saying fuel pump.
