Default side mirrors

I was wondering how you remove the side mirrors to replace/repair the drive unit for power mirrors. I have a door that the mirror is already off of, and it looks like you just pull the mirror out, then just remove the screws behind it, is that right?

I move the mirror around so I can get a screwdriver past it and remove the screws. I have always be afraid of poppng the mirror out because the mirror or something else may break

i tried to do that once, became frustrated and chucked it at the ground... we all know where it went from there... a lesson for you MIRRORS + HIGH IMPACT WITH GARAGE FLOOR = ABOUT 5 MINUTES WITH A BROOM AND DUSTPAN... oops...

Well I had to do it many times in the body shop for painting. So I could not get frustrated and mad at it or I would have to pay for a lot of mirrors!
