Default royal purple

i hear the name tossed around here alot so i decided to check it out. now my family has been using penzoil for a long long time. we trust it and its done us fine. its not crap, like quaker state. anyway. is royal purple really all its cracked up to be? its it really worth the 7-8 bucks a quart, and if so, what advantages would it bring over my penzoil. will there be longer change intervals? or simply a more viscus longer lasting lubricant? Is it purple? lol. any other benefits.

ive got it in the rear end and the crankcase of my car... I was useing a standard synthetic before, Honestly, i cant feel a difference. But like i said, i had a synthetic in it before. Its better than conventional, but i dont know if it is indeed any better than other synthetics.

sounds expensive for oil to me...if I had a race car with a 20 thousand dollar engine I ran like 20 times a year maybe...but not for a daily driver or weekend driver...

Idid a search on oil(really bored) and the top 10 list, Royal Purple came in 8th, we ran it in a few of our cars and it didn't do anything miraculous like everyone claims, like the "new fad diet" for stupid women. On several websites I did see that AMSoil1 or something was ratedat least top 3in many lists.
