rough idle

Well I have done everything I was told as for the IAC valve and TPS cleaning and adjustments and I will say that my engine is finally idling by its self. The only problem I have is that the engine is idling rough, could it be fuel pressure, or a weak ignition coil? I am running a crane compucam roller cam, " factory", and they suggested using an ajustable pressure regulator and that is the only thing I have not adjusted. I am however reusing the factory ignition coil. Any thoughts would be helpful thanks. Could the TPS need replacement? What about possibly changing the ignition coil to a hotter coil, or just replacing it?

Check the intensity of the spark. It should be at least a half in long. If it's a little blue spark the coil is no good. I know it sounds crazy but I've seen guys place a screw driver on the injectors and put their ear againt the screw driver handle and listen to the injectors fire. You can actually tell the difference when one is cloged up.

Well I will test the spark intensity the next time I am tinkering with my ride. The injectors are brand new though but who's to say that they are giving me a problem. Right now the weather is not good so I am just holding off any tests on either.

alot of rough idle issues come from vacuum leaks. double check that you don't have any vacuum leaks and if you don't find any do a simple compression test , you may have a weak cylinder and if not, at least you know the mechanical side of the engine is in good enough shape to spend money on.
