what do u think about this one??? 305 h.o motor $1500

doesnt look bad all, looks like its in pretty good shape.have you inspected it in person yet ?

For what I know about cars, it looks good to me. (Why i'm here is to learn.) And like said above, you should check it out more closely and see it for yourself.

im supposed to go look at it today he said the mile gauge says 35000? does that mean 135,000???

well i doubt they would sell a car with only 35k miles for that low.but 305s are very reliable engines, i know a kid with one that has 225k on it and it still runs good

how about this one????? 1979 is it a 305 or 350 looks small like a 305?

You cant tell a 305 from a 350 by looking. Cant really tell anything by just looking at it as far as good running and the like. but you can get the casting numbers off of the block and look them up. that should tell you what it is. they are located on the on top of the motor by the fire wall behind the valve cover. you will probably need some degreaser and a strong light to read them.


I would pick the 79 for me just because they are harder to find.

thanks man. i just gotta choose which one i think wud be a better choice for a dailey driver and to fix up cuz idk if ne1 is from texas but one is in dallas and one is in midlothian and their not to close to each other
