500,000 miles on the car! BUT im not sure if thats the actuall number! thats what the car is reading.. but the car has been sitting on 85* degree average weather for a year in a driveway. It could be messed up.
Engine smokes lightly WHITE when car runs. I guess its all the old gas?
Minor scratches.
Needs 4 new tires..
Power steering bracket suppourt is cracked
LOUD SCREECH when car is running.?
Rpm wont go up or down from 7 even if car isnt moving?

I can tell you that 500,000 is definitely not right. The interior seems to be in good shape. The " Loud Screech " is probably just belts. All Third Gens came with backseat speakers, but you do have Bose so that's a big positive. I think it would definitely be worth the time to repair its problems.

Unless you have a paper trail documenting the mileage, you can't be sure whether 500k or 50k is correct. No, you don't have to buy a new odometer, but it's illegal to purposely tamper/change the mileage.
Now, if you had your gauge cluster all apart to clean it up, and the odometer retainer clip popped off the back of the speedo housing, and the odometer slipped out and fell on the floor and rolled the numbers around, there's no telling what you could end up with! Actually, your odometer doesn't come out nearly as easily as an older style does, uhhhhh...so I've heard!

Most likely it is 50,000 miles; most third gens have odometers that read to the ten thousands place. And if it says 50,000 there's no way to tell if it has been rolled over, meaning it actually has 150,000 miles; unless like said you have papers that prove it. But the car looks like its in decent condition, just if you are prepared for the long run... Some pointers, just check the oil level at least weekly, and keep an eye on the radiator coolent; make sure it's not rust colored; you said it sat for a year. Have fun with the car

When you look at the bottom picture the Speedo only goes to tens, so your car has 50,000+ miles, not 500,000 Miles. I would say possibly 150,000 since you can not see hundred thousands. I just do not think that 3.8 six would still be running after 500,000 miles.
