Yes, I would relpace that 27 yr old radiator. The inside and cooling fins have to blocked with crud. I was shocked to see the front of mine when I replaced it. 40% of the front coolng fins were blocked with heavy crud, because you can't see the front part..

The way the radiator is covered on these cars the front is hidden. When I had mine replaced due to a lower leak and seen all that curd especially behind the a/c condenser. I knew I found the cooling problem I was chasing for years. I hosed down that area quite often, but it did not help.

No problems now with the new radiator even with the a/c running 100% and it has been over a year now.

My opinion now is this could be the cause of numerous cooling problems on these cars.

Blew the upper left side wide open.

Ordered a Northern All Pro 205062 this last Friday, and got it today. Hopefully the weather clears up this evening so i can install it.

the radiator was replaced 7 years ago. Is 7 years bad for a radiator?
