I've converted an old Vette over before. You'll need the mechanisms, wiring harnesses, switches, etc. The best way to do it is to find the components off another car. Ebay is a good source for that. I just recently picked up both left and right side power window regulators for my 91. My right side window is sluggish and motor and regulator needs replacing. I scored both sides for $26 delivered!

well i have an 85 and an 88, and the 88 has power windows and locks, but the headlight portion of the harness has been chopped into, do you know if the windows and locks are separate?

I have a third gen repair manual. As soon as I get a chance, I'll check the wiring schematics. On other cars I've done electrical work on, the wiring harnesses for the windows and locks were separate from the cars main harness, since they are an add-on option. The harnesses for the windows and locks that go into the doors are obviously separate. It's where those tie into the rest of the system that you need to find.

My opinion, not worth the time & effort and cost to change over both doors to power locks and windows. Also unless you are a great DIY car guy, it going to cost more then the 85 is worth.

You missed where he said he already has everything he needs to do it.

Don't listen to the misinformation in that short response, go ahead and get on it!

Another thing to consider is that there will be a hole on both of your door panels from the hand crank, so hopefully you were already planning to replace them, or just don't care.

again, lol i have an 88 donor car, meaning complete door panels and all, but yes i thank you for your concern, my main thought is if the is something i can add to the current junction box or if i gotta rip the entire harness from the 88
