EGR problems, still...

I think its that control soleniod or whatever thats back kinda by the distributor. Thats a positive EGR right? thats whats on there, they gave me a negative EGR when i tried to replace it and it ran like crap. so it must be... DUH.. blonde moment. When i replace that, should i go ahead and do the vaccume lines as well? i think ive already got the line for it. But its not that fancy position bent plastic tubeing, its just rubber. but its ment for vaccume lines, so should hold fine untill i can get the TPI.

make sure you check the egr valve. when code reader says neg egr- that means no egr flow! Before you try all these pricey parts, check the valve. Hook up you rubber hose to the port on it and use a hand vac pump on it. it should hold vacuum and you should see the plunger actually move. If it holds vac and moves, then remove it and look down the hole. Is it plugged full of carbon? If so break up the blockage and blow it out with compressed air and then reinstall the valve with a new gasket. You may just fix the issue yourself with a little elbow grease and a $2 gasket.

the EGR moves freely and holds vaccume, i took it off a long time ago and looked in the port on the manifold for carbon buildup. Clean as a whisle, but i cleaned it out anyway and put a new gasket on it. My next guess is that control solienoid ( spelling ). Not sure how to check it though, i guess i could get a votage reader on it and check it out.

im not gona put to much time and money into it, as that whole intake is going away before to much longer
