RE: Paint..Plz HELP!!!!
It's been over 10 years since I've used vinyl interior paints but I do remeber it to be very watery. I was fortunate to be able to remove the parts and lay them flat on a work table. I wasn't to pleased with my results but I guess it was better than what it was. Depends on what type of interior cleaners and protectants used may affect your results. I think your local parts stores sell paint prep. solvents that really dig in and remove oils and waxes in you material. Try giving them a call and let them know it's for interior and not exterior paint. It's also a good idea to test paint a small area first before doing a complete. Hope this helps and good luck.

RE: Paint..Plz HELP!!!!
go to wal mart and buy a can of ahesive promoter for automotive paint. spray a light coat of that on the cleaned parts, let it set, then paint. it should not run. I have had my interior peices in my truck done for 4 years now, and they still look awesome.. give er a try

RE: Paint..Plz HELP!!!!
No need for a clear coat, Use Simple green and a tooth brush to get all the oil off. Then wash it off with hot soapy water, after that use rubbing alcohol. After it is dry you'll want to spray about 16" to 18" away from the parts, with light even coates letting the last coat to dry before the next.
