Default New Cam Install

I'v waited over a year to get this motor put back together after have bad luck with carbs and countless other things. I went and bought a new carb and a Magnum comp cam kit and deiced to rebuilt the motor. Im waiting for my income taxes to come in so I can get roller rockers and an engine hoist and stand and Im going to replace all the gaskets wail Im at it. I was just wondering if anyone else has done a cam swap and what errors they ran into and what would be the best advise on installing it.

I'm a bit confused. Has your engine just been rebuilt and now you want to swap the cam? Or, are you planning on rebuilding the engine and while it's out being cleaned, bored, new cam bearings etc that you are going to use a new cam instead of the old?

I'm new to camaros but not to cars. I pulled my supras engine out and did a complete gasket replacment on the engine. If your not putting a new cam in i suggest having it cleaned, maybe ground. crank as well, just take it to delta cams, or napa will turn your crank for somewhere around 125
