I have a 92 rs that a 350 mild built 350 before dropping it in looking to put headers on. My question is are there any shorty headers that will just bolt up to the exhaust that is already on the car stock with cat think there is a 3" pipe after the cat. Any advice greatly appreciated

 

If you had say an edelbrock system, then edelbrock headers, and Y pipe would work. More than likely you will need a Custom Y pip made. Keep in mind headers are connected to the rest of the system via the collector flange. Most manifold stock systems have that ball joint.

 

you can find headers that will work with the stock y-pipe, but you will see more power gains with the combo of headers and y-pipe, not to mention making install a lot easier and more straight forward
