My Project
I was finally able to get the car out of the shed this weekend, and into the sunlight to learn more about what's going on. I found out it's an '84 Z28 with the L69 305 bolted to a TH700-R. The county where the car is stored doesn't have any emissions laws, so it doesn't have a cat in the pipe, etc. It runs really well, and I was able to cook the tires several times during my initial test ride.
What it needs: door locks, weather stripping, a kill switch to cut juice to the accessories during the week (it's got some funky wiring gremlins that have been hacked over time - I'll eventually start over from the wiring harness and do it all right, but for now it'll do), dash pad, antenna base, horn button, door lock buttons, and a carpet kit.
After getting it back in shape, we'll straighten out the rear quarter panel and give it a new coat of red. After that, the fun stuff begins: performance mods.
I can't insert any pictures yet, since the only place I uploaded them to was Facebook (can't seem to do a direct link to the photo from there).
