molding on driver door

Default molding on driver door

does anyone know where i can get the molding that goes across the driver side door on a 1990 camaro rs

the ground effect or the door guard, ground effect either junk yard or hawksthirdgen, if you bean the door guard, im not sure which was on the rs, if it was the black rubber peice or the nice painted stuff that was round at the end, if its the black you can get it at all auto parts store comes in rolls, the painted stuff, they discontinued the stuff for third gens, but i know some of the 4th gens came with a pretty similar product that gm dealers should still be about to get, or you can go to the junkyard and get some and just romove the old glue and put on new.

The 4th gen stuff wont work. There is a groove in the body line that the molding sits partly in. You can also check automotive paint stores. It will also come in a roll that will need painting. Even at times when you got moldings from the dealer they would come painted white or the gray primed. You can check a dealer for NOS but it may be exspensive.

it was the door gaurd molding and hawks third generation had it but color varys because it off used camaros so ill probally need to paint it white
