Default LS2

an older friend of mine has a 2006 Corvette. he took out the LS2 and put in the new LS7. Hes sellin that LS2 (20,000 miles) for 4 grand. But its just the engine, no harness, ecm, nothing. JUST how difficult would it be to swap one of these babys into say,,, an 89 RS? Im concidering it. Simply because thats a 6 bolt main and darn near impossible to damage under normal driving, drag, sure, but normal, nothing. Lemme know.

as for fuel and such, honestly, i'd either run carbed, or use an aftermarket EFI system. i'm not sure what's available for the V8 crowd, but i'd look into megasquirt a bit myself.

i think holley offers a system to run carbed on the ls1, it might work for the ls2. that would be a badass engine to put in there because they can handle a lot of rpms. i think the rev limit or the redline is at 7k on them, am i right?
