lock-up on a TH700R4
 

What exactly controls the lock-up of the converter in a 700R4? I'm putting a 406ci small block in my car and I was wondering if the lock-up converter would still work, does the ECM control it and if so, how does the ECM know when to lock it and un-lock it? I'm trying to do this without spending $189.00 for a B&M kit. Any idea's on how to get this to work would be appreciated, thanks.

your ecm doesn't control it its a switch in the center consol and it should just bolt up
