Lifting a 92 RS a couple inches.....

Default Lifting a 92 RS a couple inches.....

My 92 RS rides to low tot he ground for this ****y texas town, how would i go about lifting it 2 or 3 inches? all helpful comments are appreciated, thanks

Wow, this is different, most people are looking to lower their cars. The problem with changing ride height is that the suspension geometry gets all screwed up unless steps are taken to put all angles back in order. The many lowering kits for Camaros take care of this problem, but I don't know of any kits for raising the ride height. One solution would be to use taller springs, these can be made up if there is a good spring and chassis shop in your area. However, this will leave you with a poor handling car because the car is riding higher and tilting more, and because the suspension geometry is now out of whack. The alignement angles can most likely be brought in line, but you are left with the problem of the tie rods working at a bad angle and generating bump steer. The other solution is to use tall tires, if there is room under the fenders. The handling will be degraded, but not as much, and the car will look very strange (back to the future look).
