What's the factory manual tranny for a 1992 Z/28?

t5 transmission is the stock 5 speed.

How much of a P.I.T.A. do yall think it would be to put one in a previously 700r4 Third Gen?

not hard at all. i did it in like 8 cont. hours and it was my first 1 with no help. holla at me if u need help.

Thanks, so, the plan is to find an old T-5, and rebuild it, then fab up a new center console and shifter. What kind of cutting would i need to do?

the hole for the shifter and in the firewall for the slave.

How did you connect the torque are brackets? is the drive shaft the same length, and what about speedo? X-member?

there all the same.the only thing u really have to do is get the torque arm mount from a stick becuz the auto is reversed.(the stick groves look like this (3) and the auto is (E) the t5 is the same length as the 700. and everything else is just a direct swap. if urs a a 90-92 u need to get an eletric spedo adapter.
