Default Idling to fast

Just wondering if there has been anyone here that has experienced there TPI engines idling to fast. Mine idles at 2500 rpm's. If so then what was the cause?

Timing is a little off I admit but not to the point to cause it to idle that fast. To tell you the truth I have never seen the timing off on any car to make it idle that fast without stalling it out first.

Any help would be appreciated, because I am stumped.

Thanks

yea thats a high idle, i dont really know much about TPI, but is there a way to adjust the throttle down, like how you loosten the screw on a carburetor? try looking for where the throttle cable meets the throttle body.

He is talking about the throttle adjustment screw. Which mine is backed all the way out. In fact I have backed it all the way off of the throttle tab and it still idles high. I have replaced all sensors, with the exception of the MAF sensor. I am thinking that it might be the IAC valve. Because there are no vacuum leaks, etc...Even though it is new as well it might be the wrong one. Has anyone ever had this problem?

thanks
