Default Idle problems

I have a 91 camaro rs that I have swapped to a vortec carb. The car runs pretty good. The other day I was driviing home from work, and half way home, i realized it was not ideling normall. It normally idles at 1050 rpm. It was down to around 600, and wanting to die at red-lights. I got home and let it sit for a while. I went to crank it up, and it will only stay running if i keep it rev-ed up. Any idea what this could be? Here's a list of everything new on the car:

New vortec heads
Performer Intake
600 cfm edlebrock carb
accel super coil
accel distributor
plugs
plug wires
alternator
water pump
battery
griffen radiator
2 electric fans
fuel pump
fuel pressure regulator

could be idle adjustment fell out of adjustment or there could be dirt. however, 1050 is way too high of an idle, 700 is about where it should idle

Well, everything looked normal on the idle adjustment. I even tried to adjust on it but could not get the car to stay running during idle. Guess i got some more playing to do. Ideas always welcome and thank you. I'll play some more with it tonite.
