well ive been searching for a project car here and there, coming a across a 91 RS for 700 which needed EVERYTHING, a 88 for 700.00 which needed every piece of the body replaced ( it was bondoed to hell, and a 79 camaro for 850.00 that the guy could never get me pics of so i lost faith in that one. NOW i finally found my project camaro and it is a 1986 Camaro Z28 auto with T-Tops with 107,000 miles ( on the body). it doesnt have a engineor transmission in i t which makes it easier for me to work on. its got a 350 4 bolt main to go with it that needs re-built and i bought it for 500.00 im so happy that i got it. now i just need to get it home from the previous owners place.

 

For 500 bucks? You did good. I bought my 82 'Maro in (barely) running condition for 1300 bucks. The body was solid and even had newer paint. Up here in central NY, a car that old that isnt rotted to hell is a goldmine.

I had the same luck as you did when I was searching. Some guy wanted to sell me a 78,he advertised it as 'good condition. perfect interior'. I drove 1.5 hours out to see him. The car was sitting in a field with NO engine or tranny. (He neglected to tell me this....)

i just got mine to were building the engine right now all new parts new heads,cam,carb,rollers everything even put a gear drive on it all for my 86 iroc i got for 900. i love the wheels that were on it and for an extra 300 i got them lol new tires and new rims for 300 not bad it had a blown head gasket and needed a radiator witch i got and i got a 4-bolt 350 for it with only 5000 miles on it for free so im doing good just needed new front fenders and ground effects witch im getting it all for 200 including the rear window louvers
