I would tell the guy to ether produce prof of the HP or to take the cost of the dyno out of his price. In any case you should test drive before you buy, if you put your foot down on that pedal and you crap yourself it's probably a good buy. Post some pictures if you can I really want to see what this engine looks like I have never heard of it.

oh come on, it was built from a mag. article? lets get real here! 1000 horse from a first time build from a mag. article?????? what team does he work for?? I am not tring to be disresectfull to anyone, but come on 1000 HP from a mag article for a first build??? I have built about 2 dozen motors over the years and have NEVER made that type of claim. maybe 6 or 7 but 1000?
your talking such high precision , its just blowing my mind right now. not saying it cant be done, but from a magazine. ya, ok. have them pay for the dyno and YOU choose the dyno. dont leave it up to him. if I would make that claim I would back it up. cash in hand and if it meets the dyno test then buy it.
and ross built from a mag article is NOT ross built, just guided. make the dyno offer to him and go with that and good luck. let us know what happens. and sorry for sounding so negative, but I have learned not to trust.

Anyone that belives the BS given out by the seller of the 1000 HP car, should not be allowed within 100 ft of any car.

No need to be mean, the claim was about 1000HP on NOS and being unfamiliar with NOS this is an easy mistake. Still the alleged 600HP is still worth dynoing.

OK, look at it this way. If he can produce receipts for what was put into the engine and trans, I would seriously consider it. If the engine and trans were built up anywhere decent, those two items alone are worth well over $4k, regardless of the h.p. hype.

the alleged 600 is probably high, as i said round numbers are typically throw out to make u drool. I dont even pay attention unless its something random like "643", then I listen. otherwise its just a guy with a motor making a complete guess about the power.

and 1k on nitrous i dont believe. thats a 400 shot, which is freaking huge.
