How much work swapping a dead v8 with a v6?

Default How much work swapping a dead v8 with a v6?

Theres a 89 camaro iroc-z for action, and it says second total loss, theres like no damage on the body so i think the engine is finished in it, n there is some1 in the city selling a 83 camaro v6 engine n trans for $300 automatic, and the 89 camaro engine is a v8 automatic, how much work wud need to be done to swap? any mods?

You might want to consider replacing your V8 with a salvage yard V8. It would be easier. But if your seton the V6 then make sure you get everything electrical to the engine.

yeah make sure you have the wire harness and comp to the engine by the way i have a 1990 3.1l and 700r4 trans for sale on ebay right now with the same user name as here. causindrama 021 both are in great condition and came out of a '90 camaro. just swappin out for race engine and trans. but the motor mounts may not lign up for the swap you want to make so that may be an issue. but ive done matchin motor swaps in about a weekend and i could do it in a day if i pushed it.
