all you need is a paper clip or a piece of speaker wire to jump the two pin holes. look on that tech section they told you to, to find out wich 2. The engine light will start to flash and you just count the flashes and that will give you your code. Or you could just google "how to read obd1 codes with a jumper wire".

Check to see if you have a stong spark. If you have a Harborfreigh near you you can get one of these

I am sure any parts store would have them or ones like them. You can just plug you spark plug wire into the one end and put the other end on the plug and turn it over and see if there is spark.
The other way is to just hold the plug wire in your hand and crank the car over, but becarful if you car leaning agains the car you could weld your zipper to the fender. You can tell if everything is working right. Your system should output about 60,000 volts. You should land about 3 ft from the car. If it only make you bang your head on the hood it most likely weak spark
Once you know if you have strong spark let us know.
Good luck.

first put a fuel filter on it. then get a ignition modual. i know there spendy but i have an extra in my car just for piece of mind. the way the one went out made me think about were i could have been when it happened. if u are close to tokeland and i doubt that, u can use my spare to test it. it could be your coil also. it may be someone changed it and didnt use the silicon grease stuff that goes under it. coil will overheat if its not there. u can also put some washers between the coil mount to set it away from the block so it doesnt overheat. did u scann for codes?

ahh thats right y have a 92. its different than the 93. soo what u have going on and the things it could be reading the codes would be nice. there should be a plug in at the bottom of the dash by the steering colum. if its got 12 reciever holes i think u can read them easy. check this artical out for your yr from 3rdgen.
