Default head light breaker?

Hi folks.......ramair here. I give up. The headlights on our 85 z 28 wont come on . All other lights do. Then.....get this...... after sitting 5 or six days, I'll pull the light switch, and they work. For about a week or two with no interruptions. Yea.... I thought about the switch, but sounds more like a breaker. I found the lights ground wires bolted to the radiator support, but no results. It has done this several times and I just park it and drive something else for awhile. I check it every day.......So Ok....This ones all yours guys. What do you got?.......Thanks in advance.......bryan in california.

What happens if you fiddle with your "brights" lever?
The headlights on my 91 would sometimes act up. When going from brights to low beams, the headlights would go off. My switch was goofy, and I could get the lows to go on if I kept flicking the switch/lever. I know my switch was bad, but never got around to replacing it since it was intermittent.

Yep, check the dimmer switch. It's located on the steering column. Remove the plastic from under the steering wheel, then remove the two nuts that hold the column up.
