Good deal..?
This seems like a pretty good deal. I might buy it, and use the wheels from it for my camaro, then work on it and sell it for like 3 grand. (canadian $$$)
I think the reason its so cheap is because its been sitting for 7 years, but in a way thats a really big bonus too, it probably has low KMS and in good shape.

But i got a question:
What are some of the things that go wrong from a car sitting for that long?

I bought a 91 that was sitting only a couple of years, and had to put another grand in it to get on the road. I only paid $1k for it, and the car was spotless with no rust, paint was decent, and interior was mint, other than some stains/grunge/mold.
Even though it ran fine when parked, it didn't have good gas flow now. The connector hose on the fuel pump deteoriated.
I had to:
drop the gas tank, replace the pump and flush the tank clean, replace the rusted out exhaust, replace the fuel filter, rebuild the TBI unit, change the oil, change the trans fluid, bleed/flush the brakes, replace the leaking water pump, replace upper & lower radiator hoses, replace the thermostat, grease the front suspension, replace the dead hood struts, replace serpentine belt, and replace wiper blades.
My tires and brakes were replaced right before the car was parked, so I lucked out there. From sitting so long, your brake calipers could have developed some rust inside and they could now be leakers.
Just guess how much $ you think it needs now from what you can see, and at least double it.
Other than imperfect paint, that one doesn't look too bad though....on the surface of things.

Well, you'll be much happier with the 350 instead of the 305. Why would you assume the trans is bad anyway? Maybe the interior is shot? Could be a number of reasons why. Have you called on it yet?

i pray the reason the price is so cheap is something other than the drive train though.
