valve that turns off water to heater core

my 1989 heater core is not hooked up i want to hook it up someone said i have to put a vacuum valve in one of the water lines does anyone know what it is called and where can i get one thanks.

It is call a heater control vavle and has three outlets. Any Auto Parts store.
